All it takes it one time on the back of a horse to get a boy started dreaming four-legged dreams...
The miniature horses are really neat and we really enjoyed them...
...but it was Rosco that captured Bean's heart. He got to ride him bareback all by himself and he did great. It was a landmark experience for him and I'm never going to hear the end of it!
Wow, that looks like fun! Was that a ranch belonging to a friend of your parents'?
That's how my horse-mania began . . . a trip to the Ponderosa Ranch with my grandmother, and a trail ride in a string of well-trained saddle ponies.
Someday, I'll have friends with horses, and we'll ride. ;o) Hey, I just realized I'm moving to where there is FAMILY with horses. Hmmmm . . . definite possibilities here. ;o)
Hello from the prairie! I love it here. Big skies, good dirt, friendly people, down-home values, and violent storms. What more could you want? It's a great place to raise a family, and family is what I'm all about.
It's what this blog's all about too. Whether you are an old friend I've moved away from, a family member, or a complete stranger, I hope you will enjoy this peek at the every-day doings of my noisy and unusual houseful in the heartland of America.
