I know that seems like it should be a given, but when the boys were babies the Badger had this job where he was gone all the time and he didn't connect with them as much. When Roo was nearly a year old the Badger started being home more and it was so fun to watch toddler Roo become so close to her Daddy. Now this is the first time one of our young babies has had such a daddy attachment. It shouldn't surprise me when she goes to him, reaches for him, wants to be with him, but it does, and it really warms my heart.
Also for your warm-fuzzy pleasure--when was the last time you looked at a baby from behind? They're so round and squishy-looking, especially the luscious fold of skin at the base of their neck. And then there's their warm soft fuzzy hair.
I'm all about warm fuzzies here on this blog.
