One of the great things about our current location is that it is wonderful for bird watching. This is a great state for birds and because of our oak trees we get quite the ornithological show in our backyard. My kids really enjoy getting out their binoculars and looking at the grackles, the robins, the mourning doves, and all the other common backyard birds that are hanging around. We get quite a few blue jays and yesterday Fish was lucky enough to find a perfect blue jay feather lying on the ground. I told him to put it in his special top drawer where he keeps his treasures because you don't find something like this every day. The intense blue color was gorgeous.
