Reinforcement

I read a great article today about the results of a study done comparing the test scores of homeschool students to public schooled ones. You can read it here.

Thanks for posting that. I always assumed homeschool kids do on average about the same as the larger population--but its clear they do much better. That makes more sense because probably the best predictor of educational success is parental involvement--and homeschooling parents are definitely involved.

I also found it interesting that the amount of govt. involvement had NO bearing on how well the kids tested. That means CA could save themselves some money by eliminating bureaucrats assigned to regulate the home schooling population--don't hold your breath.
